Patient Transition

To assist patients impacted by the closing of the practice, The Wright Center has partnered with Scranton Primary Health Care Center (SPHCC) to offer services to support the care plans of patients. To better serve the increased volume of patients, SPHCC will be expanding services and partnering with The Wright Center to increase the pool of medical providers.

All Scranton clinic patients have been notified by mail of the closure and presented with several options for care. Scranton clinic staff will continue to work until July 30, 2014, in order to help patients transition to a new healthcare provider, which may include Wright Center for Primary Care locations in Clarks Summit and Mid Valley (Jermyn), SPHCC or the Volunteers in Medicine Lackawanna County free clinic.
